Central Florida News 13 satellite truck

This is a shot of Central Florida News 13's Satellite Truck that I drove Feb. 1, 2003, the day the Shuttle Columbia tragedy. Communication and tracking of the shuttle was lost at 9 a.m. EST. I took this picture at about 10:30 a.m. EST. I was watching the shuttle landing on the NASA feed. As soon as I became aware of a problem I headed for our crew at KSC. I picked up the sate truck and drove it into KSC to join Ulen Hodges who was already there in ENG #1. Photographer Ulen and reporter Grayson Kamm were covering the landing. Over the next 36-hours I worked at field producer, photographer and live truck operator during one of the most tragic stories I have ever covered.
