"Scotland the Brave" (Scottish Gaelic: Alba an Aigh). The words are by
Cliff Hanley, from the 1950. The music is a traditional old pipe tune. There have been many lyrics and adaptations to the melody. Hanley was a leading Scottish writer and broadcaster. Christmas 1951, he wrote the lyrics at the request of Robert Wilson, for a musical at the Glasgow Empire Theatre.
Amazing Grace on the great Highland Pipes. The first song any piper learns. This selection has been used in many films including the funeral of Spock in the Star Trek movies. This version has a religious overtone, after all it is a hymn.

Rob Roy: In the highlands of Scotland in the 1700s, Rob Roy tries to lead his small town to a better future, by borrowing money from the local nobility to buy cattle to herd to market. When the money is stolen, Rob is forced into a Robin Hood lifestyle to defend his family and honor.
Braveheart: This a scene showing Sir William Wallace's use of a spear formation called a schiltron to defend against mounted calvery at the Battle of Stirling, during the Wars of Scottish Independence. Today, these poles are sometimes called pikes, although it is unknown if this term was used then.
Highlander: He fought his first battle on the Scottish Highlands in 1536. He will fight his greatest battle on the streets of New York City in 1986. His name is Connor MacLeod. He is immortal. The original movie is the only one to see. Most Highlander fans will not admit the second movie was ever made.
Highlander, the TV series: Duncan MacLeod is Immortal, and must live in modern society, concealing his true nature while fighting other Immortals. Duncan is a distant relation to Connor, one of the boys from the old neighborhood, so to speak.
