If you're coming down for a visit and have a portable scanner, bring it! There's all sorts of cool stuff to listen to. When near the Ocean you can pick up all the off shore freighters and the harbor patrol. At Kennedy Space Center there are lots of signals to listen to especially if there is a launch. Add to that the police, aircraft, military bands. Don't forget all the attractions use radio communication, Disney, Universal, you name it.

If you don't have a scanner and want to buy a good portable I will recommend the Radio Shack Pro-94. Not expensive, programmable and easy to use.
