Hi. I am Sandi. I am a 50ish-year-old living in Florida, in the Orlando area. I work in biomedical research for a large healthcare corporation. I’ve worked in the medical field for almost 30-years in one fashion or another.

I am married to a wonderful man who loves me despite my weirdness and quirky ways. I love to cook. I love to read. I love listening to and playing music, but most of all I love spending time with my husband Jim. Whether it’s sitting quietly on our back porch watching the lake or riding our motorcycles I’m happiest when I’m with him.

There are so many things I like to do. I love my job, I'm an Olympic style fencer, I've worked Renaissance festivals in period costumes with Jim, I love riding my Harley (883 Sportster), I enjoy amateur astronomy (I have a nice little telescope), I'm an handgun enthusiast, I'm learning to be a gourmet cook, I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, I'm a Christmas freak and I love going to Scottish events with Jim.

For most of my life I lived in Michigan. In 2000 Jim and I moved to Florida and I love it. We lived on the ocean for the first six months. It was my most favorite place I've ever lived. However, the beach is too far from work so we moved inland. I now live on a nice lake and enjoy watching the birds, gator's and turtles from the back porch.

I have decided it’s time to re-invent ourselves. We need to get energetic and healthy again in our old age before it’s too late because I intend on keeping us going for a very long time. So I’m on the hunt for healthy, delicious, nutritious recipes to try.
